Hawai'i County Democrats Grand Rally
When: Sunday, July 25, 2026
Time: 5 pm to 7 pm
Where: Moʻoheau Bandstand on the Hilo bayfront
For the Public:
Join us for a free, public event where you can meet Democratic candidates, watch an exciting Taiko drum performance, and get involved in your community! Stop by between 4–5 PM for a pre-rally sign waving, then stay to connect with candidates and fellow supporters.

Everyone is welcome — come be part of the movement!
For Candidates:
Your participation includes speaking time at the rally. There will be time limits for candidate speeches (to be determined).
Please provide a campaign banner for us to hang inside the bandstand, maximum size 3ʻ x 5ʻ. Banners must be provided the day before the event. Weʻll announce the drop-off location prior to the rally.
You’re welcome to set up a campaign booth - please provide your own table & have plenty of campaign materials to hand out. We also suggest you bring a pop-up tent in case of rain. Pop-up tents should not be larger than 10’x10’.
Please arrive at least one hour early to set up your table and pop-up. Come as early as you like to secure a good spot.
If you like, bring food to share with attendees or your volunteers. We suggest pre-packaged/store bought food. (If you’re offering anything else, you’ll need to obtain a special event food permit and have a volunteer with a food handling certificate.)
