All registered Democrats residing in Hawai‘i County are welcome to attend and observe our committee meetings. While only elected HCC members may vote on official business, we encourage broader participation to stay informed, build community, and engage in the work of our party.
Aloha HCC Members,
I've called a special Zoom meeting of the Hawaiʻi County Committee, with the purpose of electing another At-Large Representative to the State Central Committee (SCC). This is to fill a vacancy created when DPH removed a member for non-attendance.
The meeting will be short, with just this one item on the agenda. However, we need a quorum in order to conduct business, so please join us that evening. Weʻre required to fill the vacancy within 45 days (by Dec 25th), otherwise the SCC chooses someone for the position. Itʻs preferable for us to choose our own representative.
We are fortunate to have two party members interested in filling this role. The nominees are Tina Marie Even and Brigitte Crawford. Their bios and photos are linked here:
